Common Interview Questions and How to Answer Them
Many interview questions repeat across roles and industries. Preparing strong, authentic answers to common questions helps you stay calm and make a good impression. This guide covers typical questions and how to structure your answers.
Tell me about yourself
Keep this to 1–2 minutes. Start with your current or most recent role, then briefly mention your background and what led you to this role. End with why you are interested in this company and position. Practice so it sounds natural, not scripted.
Why do you want this job?
Connect your skills and goals to the role and company. Mention specific aspects of the job or company that excite you. Avoid focusing only on salary or location; show genuine interest in the work and the organization.
Strengths and weaknesses
For strengths, pick 1–2 that are relevant to the job and back them with a short example. For weaknesses, choose something real but not critical, and explain what you are doing to improve. This shows self-awareness and growth.
